First, it seeks to use the family’s strengths and resources to help find or develop ways to live without unhealthy substances or behaviors. Second, it mends the impact of chemical dependency for both the individual and family.
Individual counselling is a based on one-to-one conversations with trained mental health professionals such as psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, psychiatric social worker, yoga therapist or nurses. It is very useful in building a strong recovery to facilitate deep intra-personal and inter-personal work. It offers an education about the recovery process; provide good support and motivate to maintain recovery goals. It builds a sense of optimism, self-worth, and belief among group members; it develops relationships among group members that can be used outside sessions for support and encouragement.
A support group is a meeting of members who provide help and companionship to one another. Support groups are comprised of others who have been through the issue at hand. Members of a support group usually share their personal experiences and offer one another emotional comfort and moral support. They may also offer practical advice and tips to help you cope with your situation.

Group psychotherapy is a special form of therapy in which a small number of people meet together under the guidance of a professionally trained therapist to help themselves and one another.Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time.
